I Don't Start With the Brand.
I've spent 20+ years learning that creative excellence alone isn't enough. The most successful brands know who they are before they decide how they look. I've shaped identity-led brands for corporations, household names, and the high-achieving women building what comes next. The work always starts in the same place—not a mood board, not a color palette, not a marketing trend, but the actual person or purpose underneath it. Because after two decades in branding, I've learned something most people get backward: A brand problem is rarely a brand problem. More often, it's a clarity problem. An alignment problem. An identity problem. I've watched companies spend millions chasing visibility before defining who they are. I've watched brilliant founders build successful businesses while slowly disappearing behind them. I've watched teams redesign logos, websites, and campaigns when what really needed attention was the story, vision, and truth driving the work. That's why I believe identity comes first. When identity is clear, strategy becomes sharper. Creative becomes more meaningful. Visibility becomes more powerful. The strongest brands aren't built from the outside in. They're built from the inside out. Whether I'm leading an in-house creative team, directing a national campaign, consulting with a founder, or building a brand system from the ground up, the goal remains the same: Create work that reflects something real.
